Look for the mid-term US elections in November to "rescue oil prices from fundamentally weak supply-and-demand conditions," says Adam Sieminski, an analyst with Deutsche Bank, who points out that the S&P 500 has rallied in 18 of the last 19 mid-term elections. The sole exception is the election of 1978.
