Brigham Exploration Company is an independent exploration, development and production company that utilizes 3-D seismic imaging and other advanced technologies to systematically explore for and develop domestic onshore oil and natural gas reserves. The company focuses its exploration and development activities where it believes technology and knowledge of its staff can effectively maximize its return on invested capital by reducing risk and enhancing its ability to grow reserves and production volumes. Brigham’s exploration and development activities are currently focused in four provinces: Onshore Gulf Coast, Anadarko Basin, Rocky Mountains and West Texas.

Brigham regularly evaluates opportunities for expansion to other areas that offer attractive exploration and development potential, particularly in areas that complement its current exploration, development and production activities. This strategy has allowed Brigham to gain significant acreage positions in the Williston and Powder River Basins. Brigham considers its three new joint ventures in Louisiana as logical extensions of its prospect generating activities in the onshore Texas Gulf Coast.
