Houston-based integrated energy company ConocoPhillips has entered into an agreement to sell its Vietnam business unit to a subsidiary of Perenco for a total of $1.29 billion plus customary working capital adjustments. 

Improvements to the pipelines crossing the Arabian Peninsula would allow more of the oil produced in the Persian Gulf to avoid the Strait of Hormuz, according to a new paper from Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy.

A subsidiary of Range Resources Corp. has signed an agreement to ship up to 20,000 barrels of ethane per day on Enterprise Products Partners LP's Appalachia-to-Texas ethane pipeline (ATEX Express).

Pembina Pipeline Corp. has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Provident Energy Ltd.

Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE: EPD) said Jan. 3 it will develop and build a 1,230-mile ethane pipeline from areas of the Marcellus and Utica shale plays to the Gulf Coast.

Chesapeake Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:CHKM) said Dec. 29 that it will acquire Appalachia Midstream Services LLC (AMS), the wholly owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Midstream Development LP that holds its Marcellus Shale midstream assets, for total consideration of $865 million.
