Madison Williams has promoted Robert Lane to managing director in the investment banking firms’ oil and gas practice, based in Houston.
Lane has significant experience specializing in strategic opportunities in the midstream sector. He has over 15 years' experience in corporate finance, capital raising, advisory services, and senior management in the energy and related services industries. Lane joined Madison Williams’ predecessor firm in 2004 as a senior member of the SMH Capital Equity Research Group, where he covered master limited partnerships and other midstream companies as well as alternative energy firms. He joined the company’s investment banking practice in January 2008.
Prior to 2004, Lane was the CFO of Unico Corp. He has also held positions with Vulcan Capital Management, and Smith Barney.
He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
