Norway-based TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS), a provider of global geoscience data products and services to the oil and gas industry, has appointed Kristian Johansen as the company's new CFO. The appointment will become effective at a date still to be announced.
Most recently, Johansen was the executive vice president and CFO of EDB Business Partner in Oslo, a large IT group in the Nordic region. He also has experience in the construction, banking, and oil industries. A native of Norway, Kristian earned his undergraduate and masters degrees in business administration from the University of New Mexico in 1998 and 1999.
TGS' current CFO, Arne Helland, will continue in his role until May 1, 2010.
