Calgary-based WellPoint has appointed Hervé Séguin as the company's CFO effective February 1, 2010.
Séguin has over 15 years of experience as a CFO for public Canadian companies. Prior to joining the company, he has served as CFO and corporate secretary for Certicom Corp., CFO of InfoCast Corp., and vice president, finance and CFO of Promis Systems Corp. Ltd.
Bharat Mahajan, who has served as CFO since July, 2008, will step down in his role as CFO, effective February 1, 2010, but will remain with the company through February 28th in a consulting role to assist in an orderly transition.
