Mayer Brown adds energy lawyer as partner in Houston

Dallas Parker, a corporate and energy lawyer has joined the Houston office of Mayer Brown as a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice. 

This is the second recent addition to the firm's Coporate & Securities practice. In January, Mayer Brown hired Jose L. Valera to join the practice as a partner in Houston.

Parker previously served at Thompson & Knight, where he was managing partner of the firm’s Houston office.

Parker represents clients in corporate and securities law matters, with extensive experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, proxy contests, public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, corporate governance, independent committees and related matters. He frequently represents US energy companies in both domestic and international matters and overseas companies seeking to do business in the US.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and graduated cum laude from the University of Texas School of Law.
