Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy in 2008 had nothing to do with Lehman Brothers, according to Dick Fuld, the firm's former CEO. He says that Lehman went bust because the market wrongly lost confidence in the bank, and the government failed to intervene in their behalf. What do you think?
Fuld is right. The market was irrational, and the government should have stepped in to bail them out.
Fuld is wrong. If Lehman hadn't been guilty of bad business decisions and poor investments, they would still be viable.
I don't know, but the government should not have bailed them out.
