    MEMP closes acquisition, increases borrowing base

    Memorial Production Partners LP

    Memorial Production Partners LP (Nasdaq:MEMP) has closed its acquisition of certain oil producing properties in Wyoming for approximately $915 million.

    In conjunction with the closing of the acquisition, MEMP amended its $2.0 billion multi-year revolving credit facility, increasing its borrowing base from $870 million to $1.44 billion. MEMP also increased the number of lenders under its credit facility from 23 to 28. The acquisition was funded with borrowings under MEMP's revolving credit facility.

    CAMAC Energy terminates Northern Offshore drilling rig contract

    CAMAC Energy Inc. has terminated its contract with Northern Offshore International Drilling Co. Ltd. for the drillship Energy Searcher. CAMAC Energy notified Northern on Jan. 7 that it elected to terminate the contract with immediate effect for Northern’s repudiatory breach of contract and other material breaches of the drilling contract by Northern.
