    Drillinginfo adds Herrmann to leadership team

    Drillinginfo, a data and analytics provider that helps the oil and gas industry achieve better and faster results, has appointed Rich Herrmann as senior vice president and general manager of E&P Products & Corporate Development. 

    Reporting directly to CEO Allen Gilmer and COO Ed Perry, Herrmann will lead Drillinginfo's business development in the upstream oil & gas industry, with a focus on operating companies worldwide. Herrmann will be responsible for managing Drillinginfo's upstream E&P platform solutions that serve domestic and international operators, involving product development, sales, and marketing.

    Herrmann will be based out of Drillinginfo's Littleton, Colorado, office. Before joining Drillinginfo, he held several roles at IHS Inc., including vice president, Geosciences; vice president, Global Platforms and Technology; and vice president, Global Information Access. Previously, he held a variety of senior management positions with TGS-NOPEC, Petroleum Place, and GeoGraphix. Herrmann started his career as a petroleum geophysicist with Chevron in California.

    Herrmann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences from MIT, along with a Master of Science degree in exploration geophysics from Stanford University.
