    Trendsetter promotes Downing to president

    Trendsetter Engineering

    Trendsetter Engineering Inc. has promoted Ron Downing to the position of president.  Downing assumes this responsibility from Mario Lugo who remains chairman and CEO.  Downing previously served as executive vice president of operations at Trendsetter, overseeing the company’s business development, sales, rental, legal, quality and HSE departments.

    Lugo retains his duties as CEO and chairman of Trendsetter’s board of directors. His primary focus will be R&D initiatives and strategic business ventures, while day-to-day operations will be assumed by Downing.

    Downing joined Trendsetter in 2010. He received a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Baylor University and an MBA in finance from Sam Houston State University.

    Trendsetter Engineering is a subsea solutions provider to major and independent oil and gas companies across the globe.
