Parker Drilling (NYSE: PKD) has appointed Peter C. Wallace to the company's board of directors. He will serve as a Class III member of the board, with an initial term expiring at the annual meeting of stockholders to be held in 2014. He will also serve on the board's Compensation Committee.
Wallace most recently served as president and CEO of Robbins & Myers Inc. from 2004 to 2013, when the company was acquired by National Oilwell Varco. From 2001 to 2004, he was president and CEO for IMI Norgren Group, and, from 1998 to 2001, he was president and COO of Rexnord Corp., a division of Invensys plc. Prior to 1998, Wallace served in various management and senior leadership roles throughout his 25-year career with Rexnord Corp.
Wallace currently serves on the board of Applied Industrial Technologies. He also serves on the board of directors for Rogers Corp., and is a member of that board's Compensation and Organization Committee and the chairman of its Nominating and Governance Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Parker Drilling provides contract drilling solutions, rental tools, and project management services to the energy industry. The company’s active rig fleet includes 21 land rigs and one offshore barge rig in international locations, 12 barge rigs in the US Gulf of Mexico, and two land rigs in Alaska.
