
Houston-based Knowledge Reservoir, a global energy consulting company, said Jan. 14 that it has appointed Dan Gualtieri to the position of vice-president, Production Solutions.
Gualtieri will lead Knowledge Reservoir in all aspects of its Drilling and Production Solutions service delivery, including projects spanning deep water, unconventional resources, production enhancement, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), flow assurance, and pipeline and production systems engineering.
He joins the company from Baker Hughes where he held the position of director, Integrated Services. Gualtieri has 22 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas business, primarily in technical commercialization and business development roles, including assignments with Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Boots & Coots, and Weatherford International. He is well published in the oilfield technical community and holds several patents in the areas of drilling operations, fracture stimulation, and improved recovery.
Gualtieri holds BS degrees in physics and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri, and an MS in electrical engineering and MBA from Oklahoma State University.
Knowledge Reservoir is headquartered in Houston and provides geoscience and engineering consulting and resourcing solutions to clients worldwide from offices in Texas, the United Kingdom, Oman, and Malaysia.
