Caesar Systems names Goyon to serve as region director for EMEA

    Caesar Systems

Caesar Systems has established a new region focus on Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and has appointed Jean-Claude Goyon as region director.

The company is expanding the deployment of its PetroVR decision assurance software to oil and gas exploration and production companies in the EMEA region.

“PetroVR is a very powerful tool to enhance the integrated evaluation of E&P oil and gas projects, bringing tremendous benefits in terms of quality and speed to the decision making process for evermore complex projects,” said J.C. Goyon.

Located in the United Kingdom, Goyon will work directly with and lead a team of client coaches located in the region.

Prior to Caesar Systems, Goyon served in many leadership roles at Shell, including senior business opportunity manager for new E&P business in many parts of the world including Russia and Iran; technical manager responsible for the governance of Shell E&P projects in the CIS countries, including Sakhalin 2 in Russia and Kashagan in Kazakhstan; vice president of E&P for Shell Russia; negotiator for the entry of Shell into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium through a complex multi-party joint venture; and working in various technical and project management roles for Shell in Gabon, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Goyon earned his undergraduate degree in engineering, hydraulics and fluid mechanics from ENSEEIHT, and he earned dual masters degrees in petroleum engineering from the Ecole du Pétrole et des Moteurs in 1983 and the University of Tulsa in 1985.
