Adding to its international energy practice, SNR Denton has added a team of oil and gas attorneys to the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Karl Hopkins joins as partner, along with Counsel Shon Ramey, and Foreign Legal Specialist Sinan Pismisoglu. They were previously with Dewey & LeBoeuf in Houston.

Hopkins’ practice includes advising clients on the development, construction, start-up and operation of large international energy projects. His clients include national oil companies (NOCs), independent oil and gas producers, refining companies, pipeline companies and oilfield service companies. He has represented clients on energy-related matters in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Syria, Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, Russia, China, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Philippines and Canada.

Ramey’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financings. He represents various multinational and stand-alone midmarket companies, primarily in the energy and energy-related sectors.

Pismisoglu’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private entities in international litigation, project finance, privatization, construction, real estate development and management.

The announcement follows the addition of Jonathan D. Cahn, Marian M. Hagler and Guly Sabahi to the firm’s Washington DC office as partners in its corporate practice and the firm’s 350-member Energy, Transport and Infrastructure sector team in September.
