Opportune promotes three to managing director

Alan Allen, Kurt King, and Lynn Loden have all been promoted to the position of managing director at Opportune LLP, the company said January 27.

Allen has been promoted to managing director in Opportune’s Process and Technology Practice. He has 17 years of experience in building and leading teams responsible for the development and implementations of complex technical solutions for his clients.  As a technical architect, he is known for delivering high performance, high availability operational architectures. 

King, now also a managing director in Opportune’s Process and Technology Practice, has 18 years of diverse, energy supply, pipelines, trading and risk management experience gained through operational, strategic and consulting roles with public and private companies.  His career has focused on enabling operational excellence through strategic technology planning and execution and improvement of technology-enabled business solutions.

Loden is now a managing director in Opportune’s Tax Practice. He has over 30 years of corporate tax and accounting experience with Big Four public accounting firms and leads the Transaction Support and Taxation Group at Opportune.  His assignments include engagement and transactional responsibility for tax planning and compliance matters, accounting for income taxes, leases, transactional due diligence and representation before the Internal Revenue Service national office for ruling requests and expert testimony before bankruptcy and other courts.

The promotions follow that of Matt Flanagan who was promoted to partner of the firm in mid-January.
