Sackschewsky joins BDO as tax partner

Clark Sackschewsky has joined accounting and consulting firm BDO USA as a tax partner in the firm’s Houston office. 

Sackschewsky will be working with companies in the energy sector to integrate each respective company’s strategic goals and plans with the optimization of their tax profile. He also will educate staff members on the tax rules and regulations impacting the energy industry.

Sackschewsky has more than 16 years of corporate tax experience in public accounting, working, primarily, within the oil and gas industry. He has extensive experience with upstream and downstream oil and gas clients, oilfield service, technology, and financial services industry, and has served as a regional expert for tax in SOX 404. Sackschewsky also has experience with FAS 109, tax planning implementation for US federal, state and cross-border transactions, transfer pricing and internal reorganizations.

Prior to joining BDO, Sackschewsky served as the global director of tax accounting and compliance for Hess Corp.

Sackschewsky holds a JD from the University of Nebraska, College of Law, as well as an MBA and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.
