In response to strong demand for geophysical services by the Canadian energy sector, Spectraseis has opened its third North American office in Calgary, Canada, appointing Todd Chuckry as Country Manager for Canada. The first two North American offices were opened in Houston and Denver earlier in the year.

Spectraseis provides low frequency geophysical solutions to the oil and gas industry and the company says it has seen a high level of interest in its technology and service offerings in the areas of surface and borehole microseismic fracture monitoring and reservoir fluid mapping.

Spectraseis was established in 2003 and is privately held. Warburg Pincus and Hydro Technology Ventures, a unit of StatoilHydro, are significant shareholders.
