Squire Sanders expands Houston corporate, finance practice

Aaron Ball has joined the corporate and finance practice as of counsel in the Houston office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.

Ball's practice focuses on international corporate, finance and government matters, with a concentration in the international energy industry. He has considerable experience advising clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, exploration, drilling, service and production contracts and other types of agreements. Ball has been the lead lawyer in significant transactions involving both public and private entities with interests in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, China and Mexico.

Ball is a member of the Advisory Board for the Institute for Energy Law, the Energy Law Advisor Editorial Board, the International Committee of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the International Steering Committee of the Independent Petroleum Association of America.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Butler University, his JD from the American University Washington College of Law and his LLM (Tax) from DePaul University.

Squire Sanders serves Houston area clients in the energy, chemical, technology and manufacturing industries. The Houston office serves energy and petrochemical companies as well as a variety of corporate, commercial and industrial clients involved in manufacturing, finance, international trade, technology, health care, construction and real estate development.
