America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) had named Regina Hopper president and CEO of the organization.

The alliance was formed earlier this year by North America’s leading independent natural gas exploration and production companies. Together, ANGA members produce more than 40% of the total US natural gas supply.

Hopper comes to ANGA after serving eight years as executive vice president of the United States Telecom Association where she worked to promote the importance of broadband deployment and adoption across America.

Hopper, a former Emmy Award-winning CBS News correspondent and attorney, joined USTelecom after serving as executive vice president of the American Trucking Associations. Prior to joining ATA, Hopper served as senior vice president of litigation communications at Weber McGinn.

Hopper will begin her new role November 30, succeeding Rod Lowman whose contract is expiring, but who will continue in a consultative role for the industry.

ANGA represents 29 of the nation’s leading independent natural gas exploration and production companies. ANGA members are dedicated to increasing the appreciation of the environmental, economic and national security benefits of clean, abundant, American natural gas.
