Forest acquires Greater Buffalo Wallow acerage for $892M
Forest Oil Corp. is set to acquire processing assets, including roughly 118,000 gross acres from Cordillera Texas LP, in Greater Buffalo Wallow and East Texas/North Louisiana.
Forest attributes estimated proved reserves of 350 bcfe with additional net unrisked potential of 1,200 bcfe and nearly 1,500 additional vertical and horizontal drilling locations to the properties.
St. Mary's makes executive appointments
St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. has made several new executive appointments.
Kenneth Knott has been appointed vice president – business development and land. He has also been appointed assistant secretary. Knott has been an employee of St. Mary since 2000 and most recently held the position of land manager for the Gulf Coast region. Knott will be based in the Houston office.
Crocotta approves $40M drilling program in Canadian assets
Crocotta Energy Inc. has approved a Q3/Q408 drilling program of $40 million. The program will allow Crocotta to further its key growth plays in the Rock Creek and Montney formations using horizontal multi-frac technology in addition to conventional drilling on various key properties. The program will be funded entirely from cash flow and undrawn bank credit facilities.
Enterprise, TEPPCO, Oiltanking plan Texas Offshore port and pipeline
Enterprise Products Partners LP, TEPPCO Partners LP, and Oiltanking Holding Americas Inc. have formed a joint venture to design, construct, own, and operate a new Texas offshore crude oil port and pipeline system to facilitate delivery of waterborne crude oil to refining centers along the upper Texas Gulf Coast.
